Detailed Tour Plan

Day 01: Leh

Arrival Upon arrival at Leh airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The full day is at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh, situated 3500 meters above sea level. In the evening, explore Leh Bazaar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Leh Exploration

Embark on a full-day excursion to Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. Witness the morning “praying ceremony” at Thiksey monastery and explore the grandeur of Hemis, one of Leh’s largest monasteries. En route back, visit Shey Palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh to Uleytokpo via Spituk and Alchi

After breakfast, depart for Uleytokpo camping, renowned for its stunning setting in Ladakh. En route, visit Spituk Monastery and the unique Alchi monastery, situated on flat ground. Arrive at Uleytokpo by lunchtime and enjoy the evening by the riverside. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 04: Uleytokpo to Leh via Lamayuru

Drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi, home to one of Ladakh’s oldest monasteries founded in the 10th century. Return to Leh in the late afternoon for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Leh to Nubra Valley

After breakfast, journey to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Visit Disket and Hundar monasteries en route. Check-in at camp upon arrival for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Nubra to Leh

After breakfast at the camp, drive back to Leh with lunch provided. Upon arrival, check back into the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day for shopping and personal activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Leh to Tsomoriri via Chumathang

Depart in the morning for Tsomoriri Lake. En route, stop at Upshi for passport checking and visit the medicinal hot springs of Chumathang. Explore Sumdah village before reaching Tsomoriri Lake, known for its diverse bird species. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 08: Tsomoriri to Leh
